"Trapped. Drowning in this overwhelming feeling. Trying to break free. I scream, but only a piercing silence can be heard. My hands are breaking through, slowly. I can feel the air outside. Sly mouth, rotten teeth, golden tongue, dripping with lies and false promises. An infinite stream of bad thoughts flood my ears, penetrating my mind slowly, destroying me from the inside. Millions of eyes watching my every move, waiting for me to stumble. I struggle onwards, even if the chances are slim. No other options. I will not give up."
This sculpture is something that has been brewing in my mind for months since I entered the whole NFT space. It’s a whole new field, with tons of things to learn if this is your first time dipping your toes into world of crypto.
If you weren’t already in crypto, it makes it even harder(like it was for me). I went all in and started using Twitter, Discord and Instagram every day to show the world my vision and my stories. It was very taxing on my mind, it was all so overwhelming. Learning about crypto itself, how to transfer funds, what gas is, what minting is, the right etiquette to approach people. Scammers on every corner, everyone watching your next move, tons of information piling in your head. Layers and layers of different tasks made me feel completely burnt out at one point.
But, as it is, you learn more and more and talk with yourself, and talk with others seeking advice of how to handle things, and even if it sometimes feels so overwhelming, a little bit is enough to make you start coming out of the rut and coming through these abstract layers surrounding you.
I understood that creating this piece would be too much for myself, so I teamed up with my friends and together we made this whole thing a reality.
